Located in the gorgeous Durbanville Wine Valley, between the slopes of the Tygerberg Hill and Kanonberg terrain, are rugged trails for the avid bike rider and paths for running enthusiasts, with beginners to advanced levels. Our Bloemendal Trail Park Café and Bar facilitates events, parties, coaching camps and leisure activities to all age groups.
Fresh air, pristine flora and breath-taking views of the valley and surrounding landscapes makes our trails a popular favourite amongst keen sports enthusiasts. The mountain biking trails are cut throughout the estate and inter-leads to the surrounding and adjacent wine farm trails catering for the beginner to the very advanced.
WHAT WE OFFER
We offer biking events for all levels, children's parties and private venue hire at our Café and Bar where we serve up beer-on-tap, coffee, cold drinks, snacks and hot take-aways. Our MTB trails caters for all skill levels, starting with the Push Bike trail which is ideally situated so that parents can overlook kids exploring. The more advanced skill levelled riders can enjoy the world class XCO trail or the famous Lombard’s Terra for some added excitement to their rides. Runners can choose between pre-marked routes or follow the estate vehicle pathways for some additional miles. Come and join us for your next out ride or trail run! We look forward to having you!
Our trails accommodate cross-country events and facilitates national bike races, leisure and pleasure mountain bike rides and fitness runners as well as coaching camps for school or small groups. Bloemendal Trail Park is associated with possibly the largest mountain bike club in the world, Tygerberg Mountain Bike Club whereby Tygerberg Mountain Bike Club Members gain access for free; whilst day permits can be purchased on our website or via mobile payment scanning with Zapper or SnapScan at our store.
